Welcome to Unravel, then Spring Forth

Unraveling

is to know and to be known.

Do we dare to venture

on this journey?

Light Brown Yarn Ball

UNRAVEL

We have experiences both bad and good in every stage of life. Often those experiences can look like a perfect ball of yarn on the outside, but as we start to unravel the yarn from the core, we may discover some nasty knots (pain, lies believed, unwanted vulnerability, unknown truths, etc.). Some may decide to cut the knots away - a valid option - but the knots still exist in the string though it is no longer part of the strand. The phantom of those cut away knots can still haunt the whole ball of yarn...unless addressed. Unraveling is a process of taking the time to unpack a life experience (no matter how big or small). The unraveling will look different for each person, but the courage is the same.

Sitting on a Bench

,

The comma is small but an important punctuation, because it reminds us to do a quick pause and breathe. When we unravel, receive truth and recover, we sometimes rush into the next event of our lives and forget the importance of the comma: pause, breathe, and rest. We need to allow ourselves to marinate in the truths and the healing we are currently receiving. The length of the pause will look different for everyone.

Stop Light

THEN

After our period of pause, we have the green light to move forward. There is a potential danger if we choose to remain in our stage of pauses. We can become stagnant in our daily lives, fall back to old habits, and believe old/new lies about ourselves and others. Beginning again will look different for everyone, just as restarting from a walk or a jog looks different from restarting a manual or an automatic car.

Waterfall

SPRING

We will cross under the green light with a "Spring" in our steps. Life can be beautiful and exciting, but sometimes it can be hard after we receive healing from an unraveling. We choose to "Spring" off the cliff, not on our own strength, but with the Living Water's help ("Living Water" is referring to Jesus/Holy Spirit - John 4, 14-15, TPT).

Bare Feet

FORTH

The Holy Spirit waters us with Truth like rain from heaven waters the earth and produces growth. Through the unravelings, the Holy Spirit brings forth healthy fruits and actions which both benefits us and those around us. We no longer walk in dirty socks, but rather we step forth in peace and joy with our clean, unbound feet. This can be unnerving and take a couple of days, weeks, maybe even months to readjust to the new us. Guess what? There is no rush, because there is no expiration date on our journey of bare feet. ("Forth" comes from Isaiah 55:10-11, 12a, ESV)
